The genre of this song and music video is rock, there are two narratives in this music video which is a performance by the artist and a story being told. this is typical of most music videos music. Although, this video is very unconventional, the use of extraordinary and unnecessary shots in the narrative such as the man feeding a lamb out of a bottle. The experimental editing is extremely unconventional, the morphing of the characters faces suggests the mixed identity or that they are all going crazy due to the world ending, in the narrative they are all carrying on as if nothing is happening. In the performance side of the narrative the band are seen looking quite morbid, this contrasts with the narrative with happy Vs. sad. All of the music video is filmed in a studio which is becoming very common but not when this music video was made in 1994.
The producers of this music video did all of this to make the music video different, not just the artists performing.
